Raising more than money

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals Charity (WHH Charity) has been at the heart of our communities for almost 30 years.  

We are the only charity across Warrington and Halton that supports people from birth through to end of life, and every day in between. 

We cover both boroughs, working across hospital settings, community locations, people’s own homes and online (for example, through virtual wards). 

Over the past 10 years you have helped us raise more than £2million which has been invested where it is needed most in our hospitals, supporting projects that make a significant positive impact on people’s lives. Thanks to your incredible support we have been able to:

• fund an outdoor children’s play area and sensory room for our Children’s Ward

• create remembrance and therapy gardens

• open a Sanctuary Hub to boost staff mental health and wellbeing

• create a hairdressing station salon for our Forget Me Not Ward

• provide dementia activity tables, children’s gaming stations, foldaway beds for overnight stays, recordable storybooks, special cots to support bereaved families…and so much more

What we do

As your local hospital charity we have been supporting our communities since 1996, and our patients are at the heart of everything we do. We are experienced in ensuring that every donation made to our hospitals is put to the best use.

• With your support we can: 

  purchase state of the art equipment, technology, or training

• fund WHH-related research and innovation

• enhance and transform the hospital environment

• provide additional support care and comfort for our patients, carers and visitors while in our care

• support the health and wellbeing of our staff

Your donations are used where they can make the greatest impact to enhance the care provided by our dedicated hospital teams.

Our vision and values

We are proud to be part of our Warrington and Halton communities and we want to continue working together to provide additional comforts, care, and experiences for the direct benefit of patients and their families, beyond what the NHS can provide.
